Designed for Life
Creating world-class health and social care for Wales in the 21st century
Building for Wales is a construction procurement framework set up by Welsh Health Estates to deliver 21st century healthcare to the people of Wales – "adding not just years to life, but life to years."
The £200 million-scheme began in 2006 and is scheduled to run for four years with a further two-year option. It includes a series of projects across acute, primary care and mental health estates, including the proposed new Newport Local General Hospital for Gwent Healthcare NHS Trust.
We undertake design, healthcare planning, cost consultancy, services installation, CDM (construction, design and management) co-ordination, professional services consultancy and construction.
We have already been established in Wales for over 70 years and have created many important facilities for the community, including Neath Port Talbot Hospital. Under the Designed for Life: Building for Wales framework we are continuing to deliver first-class healthcare facilities for the people of Wales.
