PFI / PPP / LIFT

Interserve has a long-standing experience in delivering and managing new construction and facilities management contracts through the Private Finance Initiative (PFI), Public Private Partnership (PPP), and Local Improvement Finance Trust (LIFT) procurement routes. Where possible, we work with a consortium team, which demonstrates our genuine partnership ethos whilst considering the needs of the client and wider community.

We identify suitable target projects, select potential bid partners and put together the bids, offering our clients the benefits of an integrated approach.

Our long-term interest in PFI projects is evident through:

  • Developing a positive working relationship with the client at an early stage, so that needs are understood and accommodated
  • Negotiating realistic and sustainable terms for the duration of the concession period
  • Taking an equity interest in the project company and ensuring that our client's views and expert opinions are taken into account when decisions are made
  • Developing innovative financial or service-based solutions to our clients' needs
  • Ensuring that each project is fully-resourced for the duration of the PFI concession
  • Establishing clear lines of communication for the client - once each project is underway a dedicated General Manager acts as a single point of contact
