Quality and safety
The quality of our services and their safe delivery is critical in the healthcare environment, especially where so many working hours are spent face to face with the general public. This is an all-ages environment, from the newborn to the elderly, and this is always uppermost in our minds.
Interserve has excellent health and safety credentials:
- Investor in Excellence – Recognising our continual performance improvement throughout our people, our leadership, our strategy and our organisation
- Accredited to and complying with a number of quality, safety, health and environmental management schemes including ISO 9001, 14001, and OHSAS 18001
- Consistently recognised by RoSPA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) for our health and safety performance. Find out more about our Health and Safety awards
- Trained 64 trained trainers to deliver our own in-house training packages, accredited by IOSH, and undertake regular site surveys and risk assessments
- Undertake over 14,000 self-delivered training courses including COSHH, PPE, Manual Handling and Working at Height
- Comprehensive risk assessments and management of health and safety are essential in the healthcare environment. We are continuously improving culture through campaigns such as CATS (Changing Attitudes Towards Safety) and Don't Walk By, designed to influence safety-conscious behaviour
Interserve operates around the ethos that if we get quality right today, there will be no accidents, incidents of ill health or damage to the environment tomorrow and into the future.
